The Superhero Secret

What if I told you there was a simple way to fend off cancer, strengthen your immune system, enhance creative thinking, improve memory, burn fat, build muscle, and feel happier all the time? You’d probably say “sign me up now please!!”

I would tell you it’s absolutely free, and it’s something you already do… you’re just not doing it enough!

So what the heck is this mystery thing that I already do and just need to do more?? Well, the good news is it’s SO EASY you can do it in your sleep.

Say what?!

In fact - the miracle drug that promises all of those above benefits is exactly that: SLEEP.

The average person gets between six and seven hours of sleep every night, and while that may sound like enough, it really isn’t. In order to achieve all of those amazing perks I mentioned, you absolutely must be getting a minimum of eight hours  - even better if you hit the magic nine. It’s easy to think “well, I’m pretty close so I should be fine!” But that’s like saying “I dropped out of the race a mile before the finish line - and you’re telling me I didn’t win???”

Sleep is a bit of mysterious thing, and scientists are still learning a lot about it, but there is universal agreement on the amount we need and the positive effects of getting that amount every single night. And that’s the key, my friends: Consistency!

I know a thing or two about being consistent because that’s exactly how I learned to play the violin. I practiced every single day, dutifully and diligently. And I apply that very same methodology to my sleep schedule. If for some reason I don’t get my eight hours (and, yes, it’s been known to happen!) I notice the effects immediately, beginning with my ability to play my beloved instrument.

For this reason I have always been a big advocate of proper sleep, and that’s why I recently teamed up with an amazing company called CMFRT who specializes in making beautiful weighted blankets. Believe it or not, their blankets actually help you sleep better and longer by harnessing something called deep pressure touch stimulation (DPTS) which is a science-y way of saying “it hugs you to sleep.” And who wouldn’t love that??
